I'm anticipating graduating December 2022
Research Focus:
I'm currently a second-year master's student with a primary focus on Turfgrass nutrition and soil fertility. My current research involves the study of a nitrification inhibitor called Dicyandiamide and its efficacy, in combination with urea, for use in Turfgrass fertilization. The hope is to have a better understanding of its true potential in increasing nitrogen stability in turfgrass systems. There has been plenty of research in agricultural settings using DCD, but there is little data surrounding its use in turfgrass settings and is already used in two turfgrass fertilizers that have been around for years. To generate sound recommendations for its use, a thorough assessment is needed.
Why OSU?
I always had a passion for learning and that is especially true for plant and soil systems. I fell in love with the science of turfgrass and wanted to continue learning about this continually evolving science. I was lucky enough that Ohio State was able to provide me with the program that could support that growth in learning and research.
