I'm anticipating graduating Summer 2024
Research Focus:
My research interest is in Agronomy and Crop Ecophysiology. I am studying how waterlogging regimes (partial root submergence) affect corn and nitrogen. I also use management strategies to optimize corn and reduce N losses: N rate applications, N sources, remote sensing, and cover crops. In the end, my research will provide recommendations for farmers and growers in areas prone to flooding to improve the management of their fields.
Why OSU?
Before completing my master’s degree at OSU SENR, I met with Dr. Alex Lindsey, my advisor, and discussed the waterlogging and corn project. After learning about the project and knowing that research would help optimize corn production in areas prone to flooding, I chose to start my Ph.D. at HCS.
