You will learn the science behind maintaining durable and beautiful turf for both public and private spaces, ensuring you have the expertise to lead crews and manage world-class facilities. The Turfgrass Management minor consists of 14 hours selected as follows (at least 6 credits must be taken at the 3000 level or higher).

  • HCS 2204 & 2205 (or 2201): Ecology of Managed Plant Systems & Laboratory (4 credit hours)
  • Any 1 of these 2 courses
    • HCS 3470: Introduction to Turfgrass Management (3 credit hours)
    • HCS 3475: Turf Management for Golf Course Managers (3 credit hours)
