HCS Student Organizations
We provide social, educational, and leadership experiences for students interested in the fields of crops, soils, conservation, turf, and other related areas. Our club serves as a fundraising organization for the Soils Judging and Weeds Teams at The Ohio State University. We raise funds through various events including hosting a food stand at Farm Science Review each fall, and selling tomatoes and peppers each spring at the Chadwick Arboretum Plant Sale. These events not only serve as fundraising events but provide members with the opportunity to meet and network with various industry professionals.
The club also enjoys having a good time - each semester we try to participate in university intramural sports such as dodgeball, basketball, and softball + college activities such as Ag-Olympics and Pumpkin Carving!

The Ohio State Student Farm is a 4-acre plot at Waterman, that’s a space for Ohio State students of all identities and academic backgrounds to engage in learning, research, and collaborative projects. This space was created by students with the help of faculty to empower themselves and future students to experience first-hand the present and future of sustainable agriculture and food justice.
During the academic year, the Student Farm primarily operates as the Student Growing Collaborative. Once late spring semester and the summer season starts, our focus shifts towards the production season. This includes planting, cultivating, and managing production of a variety of vegetables. We also focus on reaching out to the community, connecting with farmers from across the Greater Columbus area, and donating produce to food security efforts, such as the Buckeye Food Alliance.

Our organization provides guidance to Professional Golf Management (PGM) students through a variety of resources. We enjoy sponsoring and participating in a wide array of activities to encourage rapport among students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Ultimately, we aim to serve as a medium for the exchange of ideas between the golf community and PGM students.
